Summary[]

Fire Touched begins with Mercy waking up in the middle of the night with a sense of impending doom. Her husband Adam wakes up soon after and after putting walking stick on the dresser she goes to survey the security of their house. He quickly returns with the all clear while the walking stick has already returned to Mercys' side. They put it back on the dresser and go to sleep.

In the morning Mercy is in the kitchen going through catalogs for her garage which is being rebuilt after it collapsed after a Guayota|Volcano God attacked it in Night Broken. With her are fellow pack member and a pack-bonded Tibicena (Joel Arocha) and his dog Cookie while Adam is upstairs in a pack money managing meeting with Joels' wife Lucia, his second Darryl, and the pack submissive Zack Drummond. Mercys' stepdaughter’s friend Izzy arrives with her mother

Soon enough, the pack must deal with a rampaging troll on the Cable Bridge, a few escapees seeking refuge from Underhill’s powerful fae, a painful decision from the Marok Bran Cornick, and The Widow Queen, a sidhe fae.

“The Widow Queen,” he said. “Neuth. She has other names. The Black Queen.” “A fairy queen?” I asked. I’d met one of them. But Zee shook his head. “No. She’s sidhe fae —a Gray Lord. She likes to play with the humans, though, causing misery —which she can feed upon. (Fire Touched)
